Then he told his son about the work of a (lawyer). Satoru is going to
learn (more) about a lawyer's work and how to become a lawyer at the
school library.
６）Rika has been interested in (design)[ディザァイン] and wants to become a
dress designer when she (is) (grown) up. She thinks that she has a (talent)
(for) (design). She has already (designed) a few dresses for herself
and her (cousin)[カズン]. Her (cousin) believes that Rica will (make) a
(good) dress designer.

１）強豪アルゼンチンも脱落 フランスに次ぐ衝撃 JUNE 12, 2002 22:41
世界ランキング１位のフランスに続いて、ランキング２位のアルゼンチンまで崩れてしまった。 サッカーの２００２ワールドカップ（Ｗ杯）のもっとも強力な優勝候補と目されていたアルゼンチンがついに、「死の組」の犠牲となった。
アルゼンチンの脱落はフランスサッカー以上の衝撃を与えた。大会の開幕前から、各種のマスコミや賭博師の予想で、バティストゥータ、クレスポ、ベロン、オルテガなど世界的なスターが名を連ねている「超豪華軍団」アルゼンチンは、フランスを抜いてもっとも強力な優勝候補に挙げられていた。
１２日、仙台の宮城Ｗ杯競技場で行われた組別リーグ Ｆ組アルゼンチン対スウェーデンの試合。
この日の試合で必ず勝利してこそ、自力での決勝トーナメント進出が可能だったアルゼンチンは、総力戦を展開したが、堅守の壁を崩せず、かえって後半１４分に、スウェーデンのＡ・スベンソンの絶妙なＦＫに先制ゴールを奪われたが、後半４３分、クレスポが１点をばん回して１―１の引き分けにとどまった。
これで、アルゼンチンは１勝１敗１引き分け（勝ち点４）となり、予想を覆して、組３位にとどまることで脱落の苦杯を喫してしまった。
アルゼンチンがＷ杯本大会の１次リーグで敗退したのは、１９６２年のチリＷ杯以来４０年ぶりのことだ。
一方、大阪長居陸上競技場で行われた同じ組のイングランドとナイジェリアの 試合は０―０の引き分けに終わった。
これで、イングランドとスウェーデンは１勝２引き分け（勝ち点５）で並んだが、総得点差でイングランドが負け、組２位で決勝トーナメント進出を果たした。
１２日現在、スウェーデンとイングランドをはじめ、デンマーク、セネガル、スペイン、ブラジル、ドイツ、アイルランドの合計８カ国が決勝トーナメント進出を決めている。

“Not you too, Argentina....”
Followed by the fall of France, ranked number 1 in the world, Argentina,
the world’s number 2, fell to their knees.
Argentina, one of the favorites to win the World Cup 2002 fell to their
knees in the “Death Trap Group.”
Fall of Argentina brought as much shock as the demise of France. Before
the opening of the final competition, media and gamblers alike picked
Argentina to win over France with Argentina’s global stars such as Gabriel
Batistuta, Hernan Crespo, Juan Veron and Ariel Ortega.
It was the Group F game Argentina vs. Sweden at Miyagi Japan on June
12.
Argentina put on full force in the game as they needed to win this game
to advance to the next round on their own merit. However, 14 minutes
into the second half, Argentina was robbed of the first goal to a picture-perfect
corner kick by Anders Svensen of Sweden. Argentina evened the game on
minute 43 with a goal by Hernan Crespo to end the game at 1:1.
With the game, Argentina recorded 1 win, 1 tie and 1 loss (4 points)
and fell to the third spot in the group to fail to advance to the next
round against all expectations.
This is the first time in 40 years since 1962 World Cup in Chile for
Argentina to fail to advance to the next round.
The game from the same group, England against Nigeria, held in Osaka
World Cup Stadium ended in 0:0 tie.
With the game, England tied with Sweden in points (5) with 1 win and
2 draws as well as the difference of goals scored and lost, but they
were behind in the number of goals scored. So, England advanced as the
second in the group.
As of June 12, a total of 8 teams, Denmark, Senegal, Spain, Brazil,
Germany, Ireland as well as Sweden and England advanced to the next
round.
