対応テーマ;

The world is getting smaller and smaller and it is necessary for every nation(国民) to be internationalized.

Japan should be more internationalized because we have little natural resources except(〜を除いて)people.

We must be rely on other countries to survive.

A cosmopolitan person isn't necessarily someone who can speak foreign languages or who has traveled to foreign countries very often.

A cosmopolitan is someone who has an open mind toward people of any country.

If someone can be open-minded enough to accept new ideas, he or she will become a cosmopolitan.

At the same time we should be prepared to accept that we are humans but we are not the same.

It is also important for us to be able to explain what situation we are in to other people.

2)いじめ(bullying)

対応テーマ;

A junior high school teacher said on TV:"There is not much difference between children who bully(ぶリィ) others and those who are bullied.

注)on TV=on television(on T.V.

Most children could find themselves in either position.

At heart a lot of children are afraid that they might be sometimes bullied."

Nowadays, every child and even every adult including teachers could be bullied, and for this very reason many children turn to bullies.

So instead of deciding who is to blame, we should do everything we can to prevent this miserable situation.

対応テーマ;

The idea is not bad, but I don't agree completely to this proposal.

Certainly it may help reduce traffic jams and air pollution in big cities, but there would arise(発生する)another problem.

For instance, suppose every commuter to the city switched to public transportation.

Then, during rush hour, more passengers would be crammed into already overloaded buses and trains, and they would go through a more horrible 'commuter hell'(通勤地獄) than they do now.

対応テーマ;

There are a lot of merits in students' wearing uniforms.

First, if they have no choice but to wear uniforms, they don't have to worry about what to wear.

So they can concentrate on their study.

Second, school uniforms are economical.

Students will spend much more money on their clothes if they are free to wear whatever they like.

Third, wearing uniforms enables students to take part in the same community and feel equal with one another.

⇒Nancy has many more books than Mary.(much more books

対応テーマ;

Relationships between father and children are not as good as they should be.

In a normal family, a father and his children should spend a lot of time together, even if they only watch TV or have meals together.

In Japan today both fathers and children are too busy.

Fathers must stay at the office until late at night, and children are busy doing their homework and going to cram schools(学習塾).

In my opinion it is very important for children to learn a lot of things from their parents which they cannot learn at school.

Parents, especially fathers, should try to find enough time to communicate with their children.
