Lara's answer: as if he dropped the bottle on purpose TA: 「落とす」は、"drop", (「落ちる」は、"fall"), "bottle"も、"on purpose(パーパス)”＝「故意に＝わざと」もOKだ。 "as if to say that he ..." としなくても、OKだ。 でも、「にらみつけた」以前に「ビンを落とした」わけだから、 ⇒ as if he had dropped the bottle ....が、文法的に正しい正解となる。まあ、７０％。 （ロ）エンジンには問題がなかったからこそ、ますますその事故は奇妙だ。 The accident was all the (空所). Lara's answer: more strange, because there weren't any trouble in the engine TA: "all the 比較級”はOKだが、"strange"は「１音節語」だから、'stranger'に。「事故がおこる以前にエンジンに問題が無かった」分けだから、「正確」には、 ⇒ stranger because nothing had been wrong with the engine Lara-chanの、"weren't any trouble"は、"wasn't any trouble"が正しい。でも、６０％OKだ！   国公立・私大対策問題メニューへ
