１）沈没の不審船は自爆…乗組員は自殺か 東シナ海

２２日、東シナ海で日本の海上保安庁の巡視船と交戦し沈没した不審船の乗組員らは取り調べを避けるため、自殺した可能性があることが明らかになった。海上保安庁はまた、不審船が自爆したという結論を出した。
海上保安庁によると、事故海域で引き上げられた乗組員２人の遺体を検視した結果、１人の遺体に銃弾が貫通してできたとみられる傷が見つかったことが分かった。海上保安庁は巡視船が発射した２０ミリ機関砲の弾が命中すれば遺体は激しく損傷されるはずだが、貫通傷のほかには目立った傷がなかったため、短銃などで自殺した可能性が強いとみている。
また不審船の沈没後、投げ出された乗組員１５人（赤外線監視装置で推定された数）のいる海面に、巡視船から救命浮輪を投げ入れたが、だれも反応を示さなかったという事実も確認された。
海上保安庁の巡視船と航空機が赤外線カメラで撮影した画面を分析した結果、不審船では沈没する直前の２２日午後１０時１１分ごろ、不審船の中央後ろ寄りの船底付近で数妙間、２回の爆発があったことも確認された。海上保安庁はこの爆発で船底に穴が開いて海水が大量に流れ込み、急速に沈没したとみている。
扇千景・国土交通相は２５日、「沈没した船を引き上げる」考えを明らかにした。また田中真紀子外相は「不審船が朝鮮民主主義人民共和国（北朝鮮）の工作船であることが判明すれば、抗議の他にも、なんらかの措置を取る方針だ」と述べた。関係者らは経済的な制裁が加えられる可能性もあると話している。
一方、日本政府は、不審船がロケット砲まで発射したことについてショックを受けており、これに備える対策として△不審船をだ捕するため、領海外でも射撃を加えるよう海上保安庁法を改正し△海上自衛隊も追跡に参加できるよう自衛隊法も改正し△高速巡視船を増やし重火器も補強するとの方針を挙げている。
不審船が使用したロケット砲は、８０年代から使われている対戦車用の旧ソ連製のＲＰＧ７であると推定されている。
２）“Unidentified Sunken Ship Suicide“

December 22, East China Sea. The crew on an unidentified ship exchanged
fire with Japan Coast Guard patrol boat and is likely to have committed
collective suicide in order to avoid arrest. The Coast Guard also concluded
that the crew on the ship committed suicide.
According to the Coast Guard on the 25th, one of the two bodies found
on the scene has a wound where a bullet passed through. Since fire from
the Coast Guard`s 20mm machine gun would have done considerable damage
to the bodies, the lack of any other wound except the bullet wound is
leading the Coast Guard to suspect that the crew took their own lives.
Furthermore, it has been confirmed that fifteen other crew members jumped
into the sea before the ship sank (recorded on Coast Guard ships` infrared
cameras) but did not hold receive the rescue tubes.
The footage caught on infrared cameras mounted on the Japan Coast Guard
patrol boat and aircraft showed two explosions occurring in the midsection
of the boat immediately before the boat sank around 10:11 am on the
22nd. The Coast Guard concluded that the explosions made a hole in the
boat and sunk it.
Mr. Ogi Jikage of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport
announced, "We will recover the sunken ship." Makiko Tanaka, Foreign
Minister of Japan, stated, "If it is confirmed that the ship was a North
Korean ship, we will have to take measures regardless of protest." Involved
sources say that there is a possibility of economic sanctions as well.
The Japanese government was shocked at the fact that the ship fired
rockets and is reportedly considering amending the regulations on maritime
security to enable seizing ships outside Japanese territory, amending
self-defense laws in order to enlist the help of Maritime Self-Defense
Force, and building high-speed patrol boats and arming with mid-size
artillery.
The rocket launcher used by the unidentified ship was found to be a
Soviet model RPG7 used in the 1980s.
３）「独島は韓国の領土」ＣＤを世界各国へ

世界の主要大学と研究所に「独島（日本名、竹島）は韓国の領土」であることを知らせるＣＤが配布される。
独島問題を研究する民間団体の海洋警戒研究フォーラムは、独島の領有権についての韓国の立場を世界各国に広報するため、独島が歴史的・地理的・国際法で明白な韓国の固有領土であることを裏付ける、さまざまな文献資料を収めた広報ＣＤを海外に配布する方針を、２５日明らかにした。
フォーラムは、英語、フランス語、スペイン語の３カ国語で作った１０００枚以上の広報ＣＤの制作をすでに終え、発送準備に入った。このＣＤは、米国とヨーロッパの国立図書館、有名大学、国際問題関連研究所に集中的に配る予定だ。フォーラム関係者は、「独島は確かに韓国の領土であるのに、日本は折りさえあれば自国の領土だと妄言をする」と述べ、「独島が日本の領土だと思っている人々に、独島が韓国の領土であることをはっきり認識させる作業を続けていく」と述べた。
４）Information CD `Tokdo Is Our Land`

CD, which informs that `Tokdo is our land`, is to be distributed to
the major universities and research institutes in the world.
Ocean Boundary Research Forum, a private organization that studies the
issues of Tokdo, announced yesterday that it would distribute the CDs
to overseas to inform our dominium of Tokdo. The CD includes various
documents which state that Tokdo is Korea`s territory historically,
geographically, and legally in terms of international law.
The Forum already completed the production of 1,000 CDs, which were
made in three languages such as English, French and Spanish, and began
to prepare for sending. This CD will be distributed to the national
libraries, well-known colleges of the U.S. and Europe, and the international
affairs related research institutes. An official of the Forum said,
"We will continue our work to bring to awareness to those who recognize
Tokdo as Japan`s territory, that Tokdo is Korea`s territory."
